Most of us will not experience what it’s like to leave our home planet behind, even temporarily, but iconic rock band the Barenaked Ladies has teamed up with astronaut Chris Hadfield to help shine some light on just what it’s like to take an out-of-this-world trip.
Members of the band wrote and recorded their parts of the song from the Earth’s surface, while Hadfield took care of his half of things while orbiting the planet 300 kilometres above the surface in the International Space Station (ISS).
The result is a beautiful piece of music that uniquely captures something of our adventures in space:
