Second largest among our solar system’s planets and known well for its beautiful system of planetary rings, Saturn has held the sky-viewing public in awe since it was first described in detail by Christian Huygens in the 17th century. While relatively little is known about the planet, the combination of NASA’s Cassini satellite and its Huygens lander (named after the aforementioned astronomer) are bringing us new data each day about not only Saturn, but its moons as well – fantastic Titan in particular.
